The origin of the name lies in the Greek language meaning "One who is originally creative and does not believe in set patterns and rules." True to its name the club encourages students to be innovative and bubbling with new ideas. The marketing club of IMI seeks not only to provide the student with a clear perspective of marketing issues but also to develop their own perspective. The philosophy of Prometheans is to help its members go beyond the horizons of textbooks and gain valuable insights. The club undertakes several activities including quizzes, simulations, advertising games, brainstorming sessions and guest lectures. It also has faculty advisors in the marketing department who constantly guide and help in all the projects.

At IMI 'Business Leaders in the making' are involved in constant endeavours to supplement the pedagogical inputs with spirited activities. Stock market simulations, quizzes, discussions, guest lectures further sharpen the students' analytical and conceptual skills. Sharing of experiences during full-time job engagements and summer internships contribute to the appreciation of competing view points and understanding of challenges involved in the field of finance. Understanding people management encourages IMI students across all functional disciplines to use this forum for developing behavioural, interpersonal skills and gaining insight into HRM practices. Human - Edge, in association with the national HRD Network, Delhi Chapter organized the Annual HRD Summit in December, 2003.

With the proliferation of Information Technology in every walk of life, increased need for leveraging this in business practice is desired. Towards this the club is committed towards fostering a high degree of awareness of IT as a key business enabler in managers of tomorrow. The activities include seminars on emerging IT trends and workshops on application packages.

EconIMI

The club has been established with the purpose of enhancing the knowledge base of the students, which forms the underlying asset required, to be able to incorporate all the activities performed by the various functional clubs in an effective manner. The economics club will arrange student activities that would facilitate exchange of ideas on issues in the sphere of economic events and developments. Activities such as writing articles, conferences, debates and competitions would be conducted with the focus and intention to understand better the relationship between economic and business environment. The eminent faculty at IMI as well as other renowned personalities from the Industry and the field of Economics would steer the knowledge creation process by sharing their expert opinion on topics of relevance.
